THE ATELIER COLLECTIVE – NIAGARA 2020

In early February, our team had the incredible opportunity to join The Atelier Collective in bringing to life their Niagara 2020 Conference with a unique design for the gorgeous venue, Ravine Vineyard Estate Winery. This was the second event we had designed for The Atelier Collective and our experience working with the passionate team only gets better!

AN EMPOWERING EVENT FOR WOMEN FEATURING MICHELLE ROMANOW

With glasses of freshly poured wine going around, the event welcomed 250 ambitious women in business who would go on to immerse themselves in a series of discussions led by inspirational women including The Birds Papaya, Michelle Romanow and the founders of Hoame, a modern-style Toronto based meditation studio. Geared at unifying and supporting the entrepreneurs-to-be, speakers shared valuable advice, tips and strategies on how they maneuvered the challenges faced within the industry to achieve their grand, lofty goals.

Taking lead as the Emcee was none other than our creative director and founder, Lynzie Kent, who is equipped with an extensive background in entertainment having previously hosted two internationally-aired television shows: Post by Party and Crazy Beautiful Weddings. As she warmed the stage for each speaker, Lynzie filled the room with her dynamic stage presence and energized the crowd.

Winter inspired colour palette

Our design for the conference was inspired by the Atelier’s idea to incorporate a winter palette that would also deliver a feminine and fresh touch to the overall look of the space. Pouring our love and labour into bringing this vision to life, we used watercolour painted arches and scalloped pieces to decorate the stage and hand-made the backdrop by dying over 400ft of cheesecloth. The end result? hands covered in blue dye but hearts full of excitement. Peppered on every table as a statement piece, we used pink and blue concrete bud vases that were made using silicone molds. See below for a close up visual.

SUSTAINABLE CORPORATE EVENT PLANNING

In complimenting the immense energy, positivity and ambition that was felt in the room, our design incorporated dreamy sky inspired colours from pops of coral and pink to icy blues along with gorgeous hand painted florals, intricately arranged by Blush and Bloom. Bringing a modern balance to our design, we used thonet style white chairs from All Cargos and gorgeous velvet linens from Simply Beautiful Decor. As we strive to create more sustainable events, we plan to reuse and up-cycle some of the decor pieces for upcoming chapels with our sister company The Pop-Up Chapel Co.

Guests also had the opportunity to be amongst the first to taste Ravine’s newly bottled, 2019 Cabernet Rosé made by accomplished female winemaker, Lydia Tomek. In addition to all the fun, this flavourful wine was perfectly paired with a full brunch experience, courtesy of Ravine’s culinary team.
