LANCÔME TEINT IDOLE ULTRA WEAR
Timeless French aesthetic and a luxurious neutral colour palette inspired by skin tones? Yes please! We were invited by Middle Child to design and manage Lancôme’s media and influencer event, promoting its Teint Idole Ultra Wear Liquid Foundation. The French luxury cosmetics brand was celebrating the expansion of their shade options, allowing people of all skin tones to find the perfect shade. With the event’s creative design rooted in a luxurious French aesthetic, and coloured by a wide spectrum of nude shades, all aesthetic details of the event, from the food, florals, furnishings, and experiences, were selected from a skin tone colour palette of browns, tans, and creams. With a multitude of beauty-inspired activations to wow and entertain the guests, we designed and built a space that felt effortlessly chic, contemporary, and inclusive.
timeless french aesthetic in neutral colour tones
Grace venue, with its open space and natural light, was styled with a soft seating lounge atop a caramel and white checkered floor. Fully reflexed roses in neutral shades like toffee, café au lait, and creamy ivory graced the elegantly moulded tables. Furnishings were in soft velvets of beige, cappuccino and creams. In this environment guests felt the true, iconic Lancôme brand and were drawn to the Teint Idole products. Aside from the beauty of the space, guests saw themselves represented in the styling with skin tones of all shades present from the florals to the furnishings and all the experiences.
a selfie and product display wall for a luxury cosmetics brand
The focal point of the main room was a large 20 foot selfie and product display wall, showcasing all 45 foundation shades, and decorated with French-inspired gold framed mirrors, encouraging guests to find and share their shade. The wall was vinyled with the rainbow of Lancôme shade options, displayed their colour code, and included a shelf to display each product. We designed and custom built this wall exclusively for the event, and stationed it across from the entrance so that it was immediately visible to guests when they entered the space.
mini vanity tables and professional makeup artists
Lancôme makeup artists were on hand at the Shade Wall Atelier ready to match guests with their perfect shade. They were also set with mini vanities, offering guests makeup touch ups with other Lancôme products. After their shade was found, guests were invited to the portrait studio for a mini photography session.
PORtrait studio with NUDE BACKDROP and ELEGANT branding
In Grace venue’s Tasting Room we set up an intimate portrait studio with professional photographer Josh Harmer. Perfect for sharing on socials, the portraits captured the guests’ natural beauty and elegantly displayed the iconic Lancôme logo amongst a nude backdrop and simple cream armchair.
a parisian style cafe with french pastries
Alongside the main room was a Parisian-style cafe, with white wood Thonet chairs, bistro tables, chic rose arrangements in neutral shades like toffee, butter, and cream, and an artfully-laid selection of gourmet French pastries like macarons, meringues, choux pastries, and petit fours, all in a nude colour palette. We rented ornate antique trays to display the pastries, for a little extra je ne sais quoi. The bar, branded with the Lancôme logo, served “520 Suede W” cognac and creme de cacao cocktails, as well as a 24H Wear Espresso Martini, styled into a cocktail tower of coupe glasses.
a “ring for service” vanity booth GIfting station
The “Ring for Service” Vanity Booth was another custom build for this event. This gifting station was designed as an interactive wall where guests could ring a bell, open a mirror, and receive a promotional gift from Lancôme. The wall was open at the back, allowing for staff to store promotional products and replenish shelves. With so many incredible high-end Lancôme products, this gifting station was extremely popular and was a fun way for media and influencers to experiment with new perfumes and cosmetics.
CHIC and MODERN SIGNAGE
All signage was kept to a simple oval shape, with fonts mirroring the Lancôme brand with an uppercase sans serif font. Patterns were completely avoided, with solid nude colours will being favoured.
