BUILDING A SAFE SPACE FOR LA ROCHE POSAY EFFACLAR

When it comes to self-confidence, we all know how frustrating it can be to have your skin freak out on you! We were so excited when award-winning PR Agency Middle Child brought us on board to help La Roche Posay, known for their scientific and effective skincare products, create an event to celebrate self love. We couldn’t imagine a better safe space to discuss all things adult acne, skincare, and confidence related!

A blank canvas at this vancouver event venue

La Roche Posay is known for their scientific, yet straight forward, life-changing skincare routines. It only made sense for us to have this event hosted at The Kent, an entirely blank space that easily allowed us to bring the La Roche Posay’s Effaclar line to life form! For this event, we wanted to make guests feel as though they were in an art gallery, with the featured art being each guest themselves! As attendees walked into the space, tall white walls created the feeling of walking through a special exhibit, with facts about skincare and adult acne plastered on each wall. A display shelf showed off the entire Effaclar line and guests were able to learn about each of the products in the line with the attendants on site.

Corporate event planning with interactive branded moments

At Mad Bash Group, we love creating interactive and on-brand moments at every event! After guests had a chance to mingle and try out the different products, guests were encouraged to head to the photo area and have their photograph taken by Marie-Louise. With natural light flooding in through the windows, we wanted to highlight the beauty of every guest just as they were! Photos were printed out immediately for guests to share on the gallery wall and taken home after the event. It was so much fun for all the attendees to cheer on their friends as they took turns working it in front of the camera!

In addition to the photoshoot, we wanted to create an interactive lounge space that encouraged guests to write love notes to themselves. La Roche Posay advocates that we are not defined by our skin, so each guest wrote on custom-made sticky notes the things that defined them! In the center of the lounge space, we built a SpotScan Bar for attendees to try out the latest technology from La Roche Posay. Using a tablet or a phone, guests were able to hop onto the company’s website to use their SpotScan technology. Photos of each guest was taken using the app, and then an individualized skincare routine using La Roche Posay’s Effaclar products was recommended to each guest based on the needs of their skin! You can also try the SpotScan tool for yourself here!

How do you create connection with event guests at corporate events?

After guests had a chance to mingle and check out the interactive components of the event, everyone was seated for a panel discussion. The four speakers included two reps from La Roche Posay, a dermatologist, as well as a very honest and emotional testimonial from an Effaclar lover! The panel truly created a safe space for everyone to discuss their own stories and struggles with skincare, as well as the standards that are constantly being changed by the usage of filters on social media apps nowadays. All the guests agreed that they left the panel feeling super supported by the community around them!
