Glenfiddich Time Reimagined launch

Taking place against a background of glittering night lights at Toronto’s St. Regis Hotel was the launch of Glenfiddich’s Time Reimagined, an exclusive collection of Single Malt Whiskies. With Food & Beverage connoisseurs and tastemakers in attendance, Glenfiddich wanted to dazzle their guests with an event that looked as timeless as their scotches taste.

With that in mind, they brought our team at Mad Bash on with the Event Design service. Although we are known for our colourful and trendy aesthetic, we are versatile designers who absolutely relish fresh inspiration like “design a space inspired by our bottles of Time Reimagined scotch whiskies.”

Nailing a Sparkling Gold, Silver and Grey Tablescape

With evening activities that included a guided whisky tasting, dinner, and product launch, our job was to create a tablescape, product display and ambience inspired by the Time Reimagined bottles. To achieve this elevated and sleek look, we paired luxe velvet grey linens with high-end chrome and leather chairs. Tall brass vases filled with statuesque white orchids were a major focal point on guest tables and added some serious height to the space. Other gold accents included the flatware, menus and tealights, and combined with the silver mirrored chargers and the many, many snifters, the table glittered and sparkled against the backdrop of Toronto’s city lights.

To tie into the bottle design, it was important to incorporate mirror-inspired decor. To achieve this look we used mirrored plinths for the Glenfiddich bottle displays, as well as mirrored chargers, acrylic menus and place cards. Like Glenfiddich’s statuesque bottles, these menus were everyday works of art!

CREATING A SPACE FOR TASTEMAKERS AND connoisseurs

The guests enjoyed a guided tasting of the three single-malt scotch whiskies in Glenfiddich’s Time Reimagined series. With respected Food & Drink aficionados in attendance, who are known for having deep appreciations for the finer things in life, slaying the aesthetic and providing a sumptuous experience isn’t really an option - it’s required. So if you aren’t confident in your eye or ability to bring the different components of your event together cohesively, do your future self a favour and bring in a professional event designer.

A grand WHISKY-TASTING AND DINING EXPERIENCE

All details need to be on point when your guests literally have great taste. Like the catering. Louix Louis provided the food and beverage, and we all took a moment to admire the signature cocktail, with the Glenfiddich stag head logo sprinkled on top in cinnamon. It almost looked too good to drink, but drink it we did. We never shirk from our responsibilities.

Glenfiddich’s Time Reimagined launch was a night about simple pleasures and stiff drinks. Set against the backdrop of sparkling night lights, and surrounded by lines of snifters, candlelight, and great people, imbibing this space with the right amount of Glenfiddich indulgence was pretty neat.
