FIGS X TORONTO

Healthcare apparel brand FIGS had big dreams for their summer event at Toronto’s Boxcar Social Harbourfront. With a desire to create an upbeat, affirming, and supportive party for people in the healthcare industry, they had some super creative ideas for interactive installations, games, product displays, and backdrops that you definitely wouldn’t be able to find “off the shelf.” It was our job to take their inspo and design and fabricate real-life activations. With a vibrant and modern colour palette of gradients of pinks and purples, this fun and playful event gave the healthcare-professionals and FIGS team members in attendance a big dose of dopamine (and we had a ton of fun too)!

A Confessional-style phone booth activation

Our “Can You Keep a FIGS Secret?" installation was definitely the centrepiece of the event! We designed and built two phone booth inspired pods and placed them next to each other with stools and graffiti-style wallpaper inside. A small confessional sliding panel was cut between the two booths so that guests could connect one-to-one and share work secrets or anecdotes. Styled with vibrant, punchy florals, the brand’s logo and laser-cut lettering, this installation was placed at the entrance of the event and absolutely wowed the guests with a big FIGS welcome as they walked in the venue. Guests got the dress code memo and looked amazing dressed in playful and bright spring and summer hues, perfectly accenting the brand’s bold pink and purple colour scheme. This large 8’x8’ activation of course doubled as a photo moment and social media opportunity with guests piling in for group shots. It was a great ice breaker and really started the party off with a big dose of dopamine!

BRANDED SPIN TO WIN PRODUCT DISPLAY

Our second installation doubled not only as a bright and attention-grabbing Spin to Win game, but also a product display! We custom-built this product display as a way to spice up the FIGS team building speeches and keep the energy high. Players got to spin the wheel and land some really amazing prizes like scrub sets, accessories, and gift cards. It looked beautiful in the room and although it was not in the centre of everything, it was very attention grabbing and kept the whole room feeling branded and engaged.

BRANDED CLAW MACHINE GAME FOR TEAM-BUILDING PRIZES

For even more prizes and feel good hits, we ordered a classic claw machine game custom wrapped with FIGS branding. We designed the graphics and affixed a vibrant floral arrangement, keeping the box looking beautiful.

EYE-CATCHING and simple SPEAKER BACKDROPS

Aside from the larger installations, we helped with some smaller details that pulled the whole room together. We fabricated two backdrops for FIGS, one to be used as a speaker backdrop, and a second for a photo moment. A neon #wearFIGS neon sign was affixed to a bright purple backdrop for a high-impact but low-cost “stage,” and a second backdrop was also painted in the brand’s purple and used as a simple backdrop for guests to have their photos taken. The hit of colour added a lot to the room and took the venue from “Boxcar Social” to “FIGS party!”
