REAL WEDDING: LINDSAY AND JEFF
After 10+ years together, 2 postponements, a different venue and multiple dates this wedding finally happened for Lindsay and Jeff and we couldn’t be more thrilled with how it came together. The couple chose Paris Paris - an iconic location on Ossington’s bustling and vibrant strip to say their I Do’s in June of 2022.
The best lakeside spot for stunning wedding portraits in Toronto
Their day started with portraits at Sunnyside Pavilion which is where their I Do’s were set to take place back in 2020. Their bridal party rolled up in style pairing bold prints with even bolder colours. It was important to Lindsay that her bridesmaids felt comfortable while staying true to their own personal style. We certainly hope the mismatched trend doesn’t go anywhere anytime soon!
How to Plan a Minimalist Wedding Ceremony in a Downtown Restaurant
For the ceremony, we utilized the freshly built patio of Paris Paris for a minimalist outdoor setting where guests were able to mingle with cocktails while the couple said their nuptials. We used mismatched bentwood cafe chairs as priority seating and lined the aisle with earth-toned floral arrangements that paired perfectly with the venues aesthetic. The couple got married in front of a custom built wood panel backdrop that was meant to blend into the background for a minimalist feel. Narcissus & Echo used clusters of babies breath and greens that climbed and floated for an effortless feel.
Scandinavian Inspired Restaurant wedding in Toronto
When it came to design overall, the couple gravitated towards a more Scandanavian-approach and wanted things to feel minimalist and clean while combining functionality with style. Inside Paris Paris, you’ll find an open-concept and airy space filled with warm woods, raw steel, tropical plants and tons of natural light - a designers dream! To give guests a true setting at their seat It’s Okay Studio designed beautiful speckle and brushstroke placemats that acted as an anchor for all the other beautiful details. We used modern and minimalist tabletop upgrades from Plate Occasions that consisted of eggshell plateware paired with edgy black flatware that was an elevation from your typical restaurant tablewares. These were then paired with a punchy tortoiseshell goblet from for a vibrant addition to the tables. All signage was designed with modern serif fonts that felt clean and streamlined that flowed into table numbers, menus, bar menus and of course, their seating chart.
