SHINE SUMMER SOCIAL

When Shine Talent Group asked us to design their end of summer party, the Shine Summer Social, and told us the theme was ‘woodland wildflower,’ we instantly knew things were about to get whimsical! Brick Box, an adorable pink venue in trendy Parkdale, was a blank-canvas studio with wide doors; a perfect venue to close out the summer with a cool PR company and their partners and clients. With such an amazing theme as Woodland Wildflower, we wanted to create shareable moments and lots of cute decor with a bit of a Midsummer Night’s Dream vibe.

We always like to design an alluring entrance so guests feel ‘they have arrived,’ so we designed and constructed an archway of hanging flowers to pass under when entering the venue! Narcissus and Echo crafted additional floral arrangements with moss and marigolds in the style of a summer meadow. The colour palette was warm, bright, and inviting, and we had lots of laughs stringing up these flowers! It was definitely a ‘wow’ moment for guests when they walked up and first saw the place.

HOW TO DECORATE A CREATIVE CORPORATE SUMMER PARTY

Inside Brick Box, we wanted to create an immersive, fun, and enchanting environment, so we commissioned the fabrication of these oversized, statuesque silk florals! They were totally conversation starters and they looked amazing hanging out in the crowd when the guests arrived, inspiring lots of shareable photo moments!

whimsical AND CASUAL EVENT DECOR IDEAS

In keeping with the woodland wildflower theme, the Mad Bash team created handmade mushroom centrepieces to complement the other whimsical details. These centrepieces were crafted from natural materials like wood and moss, and were hand painted to create charming mushrooms. Each was unique and added a touch of whimsy to the table settings. To further enhance the floral arrangements, we sourced swan vases to hold the florals! These vases were a perfect fit for the woodland theme, as swans are often associated with enchantment and magic.

DESIGNING A PSYCHEDELIC AND FUN PHOTO BACKDROP

We wanted to create a memorable photo backdrop for guests to capture the moment. The backdrop had an Alice-in-Wonderland vibe with oversized blooms and psychedelic colours. It perfectly encapsulated the theme of the event and became a popular spot for guests to snap photos throughout the night. The combination of the oversized silk flowers, the charming mushroom and swan centrepieces, and this playful backdrop created a stunning visual display that wowed guests and instantly created fun vibes that nurtured the social atmosphere that this event was all about.

FUN CHARCUTERIE BOARD WITH CANDY AND SNACKS

As the party began, guests were greeted by a fun and delicious snack table overflowing with fresh fruit, cheeses, cured meats, nuts, and candy. Guests also enjoyed sweet treats in the form of donuts sponsored by Tim Horton’s. The fun snack additions and artfully arranged flowers complimented the lighthearted vibe. As the night went on, Blondies pizza was served, always a crowd favourite, and as the festivities continued into the late hours of the night, drinks and snacks flowed aplenty!

The Shine Summer Social was such a fun evening, and we had a great time transporting everyone to a whimsical world of woodland wildflowers in the heart of downtown Toronto. Thinking up the design and creating the decor for this project was so inspiring and refreshing, we couldn’t help but be happy. The party was a success and we are always so grateful to be given an opportunity to create unique and memorable events that leave a lasting impression on guests. As the party came to a close, everyone left with full bellies, new friends, and lots of colourful photos!
